The City of Sunrise, Florida boasts a 65-member orchestra - the "Sunrise Pops." This independent cultural gem, founded in 1987, conducts its highly-anticipated concert season from fall to spring each year. It’s mission is to offer live, professional quality concerts that engage, entertain, educate and enhance the lives of the community at large.

The Sunrise Pops has given music lovers the opportunity to experience an outstanding array of live musical performances. Our programs provide musical works that including pops, Broadway tunes, movie songs, contemporary and light classical selections.

A variety of outstanding guest artists appear with the orchestra during the second half of each show.

Important Notice

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, the City of Sunrise has suspended all activity associated with the theater and Leisure Services until further notice. Therefore, we have had to cancel the 'Sunrise Pops Spectacular' concert (on April 5th) and it will not be rescheduled.

For those who have purchased raffle tickets for the Holland America Line cruise, the drawing will still be held on April 5 and the winner will be contacted. The name of the winner will be posted here.  (Note:  there is no expiration date for using the cruise certificate).
